With almost 20 years of experience, Josh Barnwell guides students step by step through the transformation of deer skin into buckskin. Each participant will tan a hide from start to finish and leave with their own self tanned deer skin as well as all the knowledge and first hand experience to duplicate the process on their own.

If you harvest your own meat, have hides in the freezer you have been waiting to get to or have always wanted to dive deeper into the journey of self reliance this is the course for you.

** please note, Brain tanning is a multi step, sometimes strenuous activity. the rewards are great but there is a lot of “elbow grease” involved **
